RE: PERFORMANCES AT THE AROMA RESTAURANT (FEB. 12 & 13)
As you all
know, we will be playing a pre-Valentine’s gig at the Aroma Mediterranean
Restaurant on
Friday, February 12 and Saturday, February 13, between
7:00 and 10:00 p.m. The restaurant will provide refreshments and
drinks during the evening.
The Aroma
Restaurant is located at 215 Piccadilly Street, just east of Richmond,
and is the former location of Waldo’s Restaurant. There is ample parking in a paid lot just
west of the building and other parking nearby.
Please
arrive at the Restaurant at 6:30 p.m., as we need time to tune and assemble, and must
be ready to perform starting at 7:00 p.m.
We will play three sets of music with a bit of time off between each
set. We will finish by 10:00 p.m.
Dress
for this performance is all black.
We have
done this event for several years and it is always a good experience for us in
terms of our performance experience as an ensemble and as a fund raising
project for FCTE. We will play in the
gallery overlooking the main dining room. Our presence there is being well
advertised, and a sold out crowd is expected.
Parents and friends may wish to book dinner reservations on one of those
evenings! Call the Restaurant at 519
435-0616 for reservations. We will play
our best stuff and our ensemble will be a pleasure to hear.
For your
participation, you will be rewarded with 10 credits towards your community
service requirement at school. I will
assume you will be playing both nights unless you let me know to the
contrary. Please advise me asap if you have any conflict because a balanced ensemble is
essential for our performances.
