Important Announcements
In this section you will find regular updates and weekly announcements for the program. Please check back each week.
Saturday January 16 - Full program this week, including all orchestras and small ensembles. NOTE: Parents/students - please do not switch classes or orchestras on your own. Please discuss any class or orchestra placements with your private teacher who will then discuss it with Pat and the appropriate faculty member.
We need volunteers to provide and help with our snack table. Please see Jennipher if you are able to help.
All families: Please remember that our program is designed to compliment regular private study. It is expected that all students will seek out a private teacher.
Ralphs small ensemble will meet in the room 151 for now. Marinas cello class and small ensemble will continue to meet in room 158.
Small ensembles are reminded to mark the last weekend in February (the 27th and 28th)on their calendars for the small ensemble workshop and concert. All small ensembles are expected to participate in the workshop portion of the weekend. The purpose of the workshop is to work on your current repertoire. It is not expected that all groups will have their festival pieces ready for performance but this will be an excellent opportunity to work on them with members of the Penderecki Quartet.
Wilfred Laurier University workshop - some small ensembles will be attending a workshop on January 31st in Waterloo. This is not to be confused with our workshop here in London. Irene will provide information for this workshop to coaches.
The Forest City Violins (Pat's class) should mark the Valentines Day weekend (Feb. 12 and 13th) in their calendars for the two evenings of performances at Aroma Restaurant.
Parking - With the snow finally upon us, the parking lot seems to become smaller. Please do not park at the curb closest to the doors or in the middle of the lot. There will be another large organization using the school this weekend as well so you may have to drop off your child and find a spot in the east lot.
Email: An email went out to all families on Friday January 8. Dozens of email addresses were returned. If you did not get an email please email us at infofcte@rogers.com with your correct email address. We need to know when you have changed your address or if we have an incorrect address for you.

February 6, 20, 27 (13 falls during the family day weekend) Small Ensemble workshop Feb. 27/28
March 6, 27 (13 and 20 are march break Saturdays and we do not meet on those dates)
April 10,17,24 (April 3 is Easter break)
Kiwanis Festival - April 12 to April 30 2010
May 1,8,15,29 (final concert) (we do not meet on May 22 - long weekend) May 29 is our final date.
Fundraising: Our Cahill's confections is our primary fund raiser. We appreciate donations of baked goods etc. Please let us know if you are able to assist with the snack area on Saturday mornings.
We encourage you to write us with comments, concerns, criticisms, "offers of help". We have many jobs around the school and are glad to "share". Send your comments to infofcte@rogers.com
