Important Announcements
In this section you will find regular updates and weekly announcements for the program. Please check back each week.
November 21: This is the final Saturday of full classes and small ensembles. Next week is our final concert. There are a couple of room changes for this week:
1. Pretwinkles, Twinkles and Book 1's (Mary Lou, Carleen and Tori) are all in Carleen's class (Room 167) at 9:00. We will not have the use of room 169 for the next two weeks.
2. Book 2's will meet with Kerri for playin in Room 166 (Mary Lou's room).
3. Kerri's class will meet in Room 161 at the regular time.
4. Junior orchestra will meet in the library this week - please do not remove materials from the shelves and it would be helpful if we stayed in the area of the library where the group is rehearsing.
In addition to these minor changes - there is a basketball tournament at the school and that always leads to parking and traffic problems. Please do not park in the fire lanes or the curb lane. You may have to drop you child off and park on the east side of the school.
The London Youth Symphony, which features many of our students will be performing on Sunday November 22nd 3:00 p.m. at the Aeolian Hall. Jasmine Long will be the featured soloist for this concert.
Small Ensembles: Please remember that you must pack up at 9:25 (clocks in the school are not always reliable so a personal time piece may be necessary). We had at least 4 small ensembles still going after 9:30. If you need extra time come at 8:15. No small ensembles next week.
November 28th is our final concert date for this term. The final concert is a chance for families and relatives to hear what the other parts of the program are doing. It is a very good opportunity for young students to perform and to hear the older students. The rehearsals typically start at 9:00 and the concert begins at 9:45 on that day. Teachers in each class will be providing information about which pieces the students will play and what they should wear. Please invite friends and relatives. NOTE: PLEASE CHECK THE WEBSITE NEXT WEEK FOR REHEARSAL SCHEDULES AND ROOM ASSIGNMENTS.

February 6, 20, 27 (13 falls during the family day weekend)
March 6, 27 (13 and 20 are march break Saturdays and we do not meet on those dates)
April 10,17,24 (April 3 is Easter break)
Kiwanis Festival - April 12 to April 30 2010
May 1,8,15,29 (final concert) (we do not meet on May 22 - long weekend) May 29 is our final date.
