Important Announcements

In this section you will find regular updates and weekly announcements for the program.  Please check back each week.

October 3: All classes and orchestras will be running this week. Please remember that next week, October 10th, there is no program due to Thanksgiving weekend.

We will continue to staff the registration desk for another week and would appreciate it if you could check in at the desk and correct any changes in contact information and/or current playing levels.  We would also appreciate it if those who have not paid their fees would bring them to Lorie.

Pat's Group performed at the Journey of Hope concert on Sunday September 27th and were  a highlight of the evenings performances.  Well done folks.  Our premiere performing ensemble, the group is at it again on Friday November 27.

Play-in - please remember to be on time for playin (both Books 1 and 2 playin in room 169 and Book 3 and up on the stage).  Playin is an important part of the school and a unique aspect of Suzuki training.  Ensemble playing at this level is exciting for the students and only possible because unlike other methods, these students have all studied and memorized the same repertoire.  Students from our youngest to our oldest can and should participate.

New families are welcome to email any questions about the program to infofcte@rogers.com

We are still working on settling our classes.  Thanks for your patience. Class lists and the rooms are posted at the link below.

Junior Division Violins  2009 (at October 3)

Junior Division Cellos 2009

Please contact Pat or Irene if you think your child has been placed in the wrong class.  Parents are asked not to move their children unless the private teacher and Pat or Irene have discussed placements.

11:00 - Orchestra lists are posted below but we expect that there will some change this week.  Please note that playing requirement for Senior orchestra is Grade 8 conservatory level and up, Intermediate Orchestra is Bach Double and up and Junior Orchestra is Book 3 and 4.  Some late book 2 students may be asked to play in the junior orchestra by their teacher or the conductor. It is also important to remember that playing in an orchestra is quite different from playin and that student reading levels do not always match Suzuki book numbers.  Please click on the list below to check your placement.  Contact Pat or Irene if you think there has been an error.
