Important Announcements
In this section you will find regular updates and weekly announcements for the program. Please check back each week.
Full classes and orchestra will begin on Saturday September 19. Small ensembles will not begin at this time. Please check back here by Wed Evening for complete class and orchestra lists. The current schedule and room lists are posted in the "Classes and room assignments" link on the main page. Please check back for updates in those as well. Check the class lists carefully as they are slightly different from last week. If you felt that your child was not in the right class, you should consult with your private teacher and let us know where they think your child belongs.
We thank you so much for your patience with our registration Saturday. A warm welcome to all of our new families. To all of our families, please note that we must have your current email addresses. If you did not get an email from us last Thursday then we probably do not have your most recent email address. Please let us know at infofcte@rogers.com.
Please remember to register and pay fees. Lorie will be at the desk taking new registrations and updates to information and of course, fees.
Snack: Cahill Confections opens this week. If you have a desire to volunteer we would be happy to enlist your help for snack duty or by having you bake something (no nut products please). These reasonably priced snacks are one of the few fundraising activities we have and the sales revenue has made a major contribution to our program.
Donations: Fees only cover about eighty percent of our costs. We do rely on fundraising, gifts for performances and your donations. We are a registered charitable organization and can issue tax receipts for donations. Fees are not considered a donation and since they do not exceed the education cost per student they are not eligible for a charitable donation receipt.
Here are the dates for the coming year (please note concert and workshop dates and mark them in your calendars):

October 3, 17, 24, 31 (October 10 is Thanksgiving weekend)
November 7,14,21,28 (final concert)
January 9,16,23,30
February 6, 20, 27 (13 falls during the family day weekend)
March 6, 27 (13 and 20 are march break Saturdays and we do not meet on those dates)
April 10,17,24 (April 3 is Easter break)
May 1,8,15,29 (final concert) (we do not meet on May 22 - long weekend) May 29 is our final date.
