In this section you will find regular updates and weekly announcements for the program. Please check back each week.
Program is over for the summer. We will resume on Saturday September 12, 2009. Please check the website for any information concerning registration and placements for next year. Please email us if your contact information changes, especially email addresses. We will have registration and fee information soon. It would also be helpful to let us know in August what book your child is currently playing in for class placement.
Thanks to all for another great year end concert. We appreciate the work of the students who worked so hard to present us with an excellent morning of music. Our sincere thanks to our faculty and coaches for their dedication to this program. Of course, we cannot forget the sacrifice all of our parents make to ensure that their children are able to take advantage of all that FCTE has to offer.
We would also like to extend our appreciation to Bruce Richardson who retires this year after being involved with the organization since the very first years. We wish you and your family all the best. We also thank Karen Walker for organizing and running our snack shop. This has turned out to be a great fundraiser and we owe it all to Karen's commitment.
Best of luck to our graduates. We hope that we have in some way enriched your lives as you have ours. We know that some of you are off to post-secondary study and remind you to drop in any time you are in town. Some of you are taking a "victory lap" at high school and are certainly welcome to join us again next year.

Festival CDs - We have a limited number of FCTE Live at the 2009 Kiwanis Festival CDs remaining (15). Thanks to all who purchased the CDs. We made over $250 profit for the program from the sale of these CD's. These were recorded live at the festival and assembled, edited and copied for sale to our groups by Jesse Grandmont. They include all orchestras, Kerri's group, Irene's group and Julia's group. Due to some technical problems they do not include guitar ensembles and Pat's group. This is a way to support the program and acquire a keepsake or gift for family members. Sales are in-house and limited to our families. Donations: WE COULD CERTAINLY USE A LITTLE DONATION BOOST TO FINISH THIS YEAR. We are grateful to those who have helped keep this program running through their generous donations. As you all know, we have always kept our fees as low as possible over the years and we believe that we provide great value for those fees. The program however, could not exist without some additional fundraising and donations. We are a registered charitable organization and tax receipts are provided for donations.

October 3, 17, 24, 31 (October 10 is Thanksgiving weekend)
November 7,14,21,28 (End of term concert)
